Wingham Facebook page has uploaded a link to a wish list of items for the zoo. I think this is a great idea and wondered if other UK zoos did it too.
 
without much information in this post I thought it was talking about a wishlist of animals the zoo wanted to get. But it is instead about enrichment items for the animals which the zoo would like people to donate as gifts.

Here's the info from the zoo's Facebook:
We get a lot of support from our visitors, and everything from your entrance to the park through to donations help a great deal... One type of support which we are often asked about is from people who want to buy toys or treats which our k...eepers can use directly for the animals.

This is a great way to support the park, and the support goes direct in to the paws or mouths of the animals at the park, but people are often unsure what they can give us for them. We got an idea from a number of sanctuaries in America who have set up Amazon wish lists for people to use.

If you would like to buy a treat for our animals please look through the list and if there is anything you would like to buy for us we appreciate the help, and the items would be sent direct to us, or you can bring them in on your next visit.

We hope that answers all of the questions we have had recently about buying things for our animals, and as always we appreciate everyone's support - no matter how you choose to support us.

It is mentioned on the website under 'Support Us' and there is also a more general wish list of things they would like for enrichment provided on the website too:
