American Facilities with Hartebeest and Topi

Good evening. I'm relatively new to this site, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any facilities in this country, Public or Private, that has any species of Hartebeest and/or Topi.

I understand that San Antonio Zoo has had Topi along with Lelwel/Jackson's Hartebeest, but I'm not sure if they still have them. And I remember Lion Country Safaris at Palm Beach has had a Lelwel's, which sadly passed on not to long ago. But are there any others I might have missed?

If so, which Species, and where can they be found?

The current belief on Zoochat is that these species are no longer present in continental North America, with some vague possibility an individual or two is lingering in private collections.

Brookfield Zoo held some Topi from 1993 until the mid-00s, in a mixed exhibit with ostrich and giraffe. They were also held at the San Diego Zoo and Safari Park around this time. I believe Brookfield's last individual died around 2007, and San Antonio was the last holder.

Cape hartebeest have been held in the past but there appear to be no recent records.

I would love if someone has more information but I believe this is the extent that has been put forward when this question has been posed previously.

Thank you for the Insight, I actually spoke with a Zookeeper from San Antonio Zoo last week, and she did indeed confirm that the Topi have been transferred to a private facility. Now I just need to Know which private facilities they are, and where they're located.

This is news to me. I thought I had heard the individual had passed at San Antonio. Perhaps there's a private hoofstock keeper with Topi then?

Hello. The only known holder of hartebeest in North America that I am aware of is Zoológico Nacional de Cuba, Havana.

Two South American zoos (São Paulo and Sorocaba) have also held red hartebeest in the past. São Paulo bred the species at least once and sent their surplus animals to Sorocaba.
