African Lion Safari hold Asian elephants, so I will add them in on my Asian elephant post.

Very useful! May be worth separating single generation herds with intent to breed and expand from non-breeding herds. I know Milwaukee is a retirement home.

P.A.W.S. (Performing Animal Welfare Society) & The Elephant Sanctuary are also retirement facilities. No breeding is allowed at either location.

White Oak Conservancy?

They took in the Ringling Bros Circuses elephants, built a series of awesome giant habitats for them too. Although White Oak also breeds goodness only knows how many endangered species, more than a few of them rarely seen elsewhere in captivity.

White Oak's herd are also Asian Elephants, not African Elephants.

Edit: There's also the newly founded Elephant Refuge North America (ERNA). Started by the same lady who originally founded The Elephant Sanctuary.

They don't breed either and are a retirement facility only. They currently have three Asian Elephants.

Their have been two female calves born in the past two years 0.1 Masala (Casey x Mable) born 2021.08.25 and 0.1 Tikka (Casey x Aree) born June 14th, 2022

Were those calves deliberately bred though? Their mothers could've arrived at White Oak already pregnant.

Both females arrived pregnant but White Oak had already claimed ownership of the animals pior to transferring to White Oak I believe
