I was picturing more of direct lines more so for family herds than bachelor herds. This was done to find out how many zoos actually have “multigenerational herds” of related family members. Good Question!
 
With the birth of the bull Jet yesterday, St. Louis officially now has a four-generation-herd! Unfortunately, it won't be for long, as his grandfather (Raja) will soon move to the Columbus Zoo.
