On June 4th, 2022, the zoo announced they have acquired* a (0.1) African crested porcupine named Rebel Quillson.

On August 5th, the zoo announced that a (0.1) serval named Ibis and a laughing kookaburra named Gumdrop passed away.

On September 21st, it was reported that the zoo will open the expanded tiger exhibit, called Rajah's Retreat, to the public on September 24th.

On October 10th, it was announced that the zoo acquired a (1.0) lesser hedgehog tenrec from the Los Angeles Zoo in California in August.

On December 21st, the zoo announced they acquired a female (0.1) lilac-crested parrot named Sunny, which is an ambassador animal.

On April 24th, 2025, the zoo announced they acquired a female (0.1) central bearded dragon named Lizzie, which is on display in the Reptile Room.

On August 17th, it was announced that the zoo acquired a male (1.0) Von der Decken's hornbill from Los Angeles Zoo in California.
