Soon 2 Western eurasian griffon vultures (Gyps fulvus fulvus) that were born in the zoo last year will be released in the Balkan area.

They have safely arrived at the Wildlife Rescue Center in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria! They will be staying there for a few more months before being released into the wild

The pair of Black-crowned night herons (Nycticorax nycticorax nycticorax) have laid 2 eggs.

One of the two eggs hatched in June.

In July atleast 1 Golden spiny mouse (Acomys russatus) was born.

The Linnaeus' two-toed sloth that was born earlier this year is a female

Siberian tiger Ilya died last Friday. The autopsy showed that he had a tear in his diaphragm. This caused the intestines to pass beyond the stomach, into the chest. This caused acute shortness of breath. The team of vets and zookeepers provided medical care, but unfortunately he did not recover and died of shock. Ilya reached the age of seventeen.
