Amur Leopards in Europe

Would you know the names of Kadran's siblings?

Apologies for the confusion, I thought the litter was 3.0 for some reason but it appears to have been 2.1 with the female being called Kahla and the 2nd male named Kasha... not sure where either of them ended up

"Vatne" from Leipzig is going to be replaced by an other female to finally breed successfully.

Thanks Nisha - Kahla went to Lyon to breed with Busse.
Busse is Bira's brother from Helsinki. They were born to Stina and Luca on 26th of April 2009.

Hi Chali!
Yes, Charpin was born in Frankfurt on 25th of December 1996 and he game to Helsinki 1998 but I am not sure if he left for London or elsewere . . .

What's happening at Agrate with regards to Calvin? With a new male expected from Tallinn for his daughter soon, surely there must be a studbook recommendation pending for him too?
Tallinn male Baruto is right now on his way to La Torbiera.

The amur leopard who came to Antwerp is Cema from Helsinki. He is on his way to Rotterdam but the enclosure there is not finished yet.

Poor little Kira in Nordens Ark was blind. Six-month-old kitten was put to sleep.
Genes from both parents (Bira and Kitan) are predisposing blindness.
The couple is separated and new partners are search for them.

Couple of updates from the UK population....

The 2012 cubs at WHF (Xizi X Hogar) have been named: The female is Zeya and her brother is Manchurian

Twycross recieved 2011 born female, Kristen from Usti Nad Labem this week to pair with resident male, Davidoff

Male, Hasan from Tallinn's 2010 litter left Estonia today for Novosibirsk

Never realised until this evening that there is a pair (1:1 apparently) of Amur Leopard at Cat Survival Trust in Welwyn, Herts. Anyone know where they originate from? Been there since at least 2008 from what I can gather.. thanks in advance

The two Amur Leopards at CST are from Thrigby Hall, they are brother and sister and have been at CST since 2008 when Thrigby Hall had both neutered. To this day, Thrigby Hall have never said why they did this and I can't believe they couldn't have found homes for both???

AWARD WINNING Yorkshire Wildlife Park today reveals plans to bring an endangered leopard to the park to breed as an official report praised its efforts to save the species.

Eighteen-month-old Amur leopard Freya will arrive from Tallinn Zoo in Estonia in the Autumn.

When she is old enough she will be paired with current YWP resident Drake – potentially giving the most endangered big cat in the world a big boost.
