Amur Tigers in Europe

At Dierenrijk, Amur tiger Laila died today. Keepers recently noticed that the 18-year-old tiger was walking increasingly worse. The vet examined her and found, based on an ultrasound, that she had severe osteoarthritis and was in a lot of pain as a result. It was therefore decided to put her to sleep.

Laila was supposed to spend her last days in Beekse Bergen, but unfortunately that did not happen.

There are currently no more tigers living in Dierenrijk. Tiger Laslo had already passed away last October.

In Madrid two tigers moved in, coming from Switserland. The names are Altai and Dunai. I don't have any info about them in my database. Is there somebody with info about them?

Zoo Aquarium de Madrid
Apparently Zoo Madrid made a mistake, they have since updated their post. The two tigers are not from Switzerland but from Sweden. My guess is that they are from Kolmarden, where they had cubs in August 2021. But I don't know that for sure.

Neva and Zov became parents of twe cubs, a male and a female.

Following the death of the last Amur tiger, Dierenrijk has started renovating the tiger enclosure. The old cheetah enclosure will be added to the current tiger enclosure. This will make it twice as big. There will also be more water in the enclosure. The work is expected to be completed in May.

On the recommendation of the management programme, the current tiger couple from sister zoo Beekse Bergen will move to Dierenrijk after the works. This does not mean that Beekse Bergen will be without tigers, they will get a new tiger pair.

A cub has been born in Kopenhagen . Mother is an elderly female who gave birth for the first time. Father is a new male who arrived two years ago. I'll check out their names when i have some spare time.
In my list, I have the following pair in Kopenhagen:

1.0 Dexter (29-05-2013, Zoo Zlin) (Josef x Tanja)
0,1 ? (18-04-2013, Kopenhagen Zoo) (? x ?)

What I have found is that Darius is a son of Rosa and Michka. But does anybody know the parents of Michka?

And does anyone know the parents of Agnes from previous post?

According to a post and photos in a Facebook group about Safaripark Beekse Bergen, a new Amur tiger female has recently arrived. It is 3-year-old Malinka from Zoo Duisburg. The tigers Yarko and Angara are also said to be still present but, as mentioned earlier, they will soon move to the new enclosure at Dierenrijk.

Almost 2-year-old Amur tiger female Ohana from Korkeasaari Zoo will soon move to Zoo Tallinn. Here, she will be paired with a young male from a Scottish zoo.

Her sister Odeya will remain at Korkeasaari and will eventually be paired there with a genetically suitable mate for her. The current tiger couple, the parents of the two sisters, will not have any more cubs. Their genes are represented enough.
