The 1-year-old Amur tiger brothers Odris and Odrus from Zoo Opole are moving next week. One of them will move to ZooParc Overloon in the Netherlands, and the other to ZOOM Erlebniswelt Gelsenkirchen in Germany.

Odraj (not Odris) has arrived at ZOOM Erlebniswelt Gelsenkirchen. Here he was renamed Tian. He will be paired with Tamika, the female already present there.

Odrus was also in the same transport. We can therefore assume that he has now also arrived at ZooParc Overloon.

The third of the brothers born in Opole will go to Helsinki Zoo. Opole Zoo has caused a bit of a stir. It has been writing all along that Odris and Odrus will be going to Gelsenkirchen and Overloon, and on the day of departure it was written that Odraj and Odrus were going. So Odris will soon be leaving Opole for Korkeasaari Zoo. Where do such strange, similar names come from? Opole Zoo is located on an island on the Oder River.

Four Amur tigers were born at Copenhagen Zoo 12 days ago. Unfortunately, one of the cubs has died. The other three, one male and two females, are doing well. The father is Dexter and the mother is a female born in Copenhagen in 2013 (name unknown to me).

On the 6th of August, three Amur tigers were born at Zoo Leipzig. Unfortunately, the inexperienced mother Yushka lost interest in her cubs the following day and stopped caring for them. The three weakened cubs were euthanised to prevent further suffering.

One of the three cubs has died. An autopsy revealed that it had a congenital hole in the artery between his lungs and heart – something it could not survive.

Four-month-old Szasa has died. He suffered a stroke as a result of multiple epileptic seizures. Despite round-the-clock care, he did not respond to treatment. He lost his sight, stopped eating and could only take a few steps. Despite medication, the seizures continued to recur. It was therefore decided to put him to sleep.

7-year-old male Amur tiger Kratz has moved from Zoo Magdeburg to Sóstó Zoo. There, he may provide offspring with both female tigers living there.

I am not sure who the two female tigers are and which Amur tigers currently reside at Sóstó Zoo. Does anyone have more information?

A post in a Beekse Bergen Facebook group mentions the names of the three cubs (confirmed by the zoo). The males have been given the names Serdtse and Ptitsa, and the female has been named Brosat'sya.
