ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Amur Tigers

Hi, am new on here but was just wondering if anyone could tell me a little more about the tigers at whipsnade. As last summer (08) I remember being told in one of the explainer talks that they had two tigers, a brother and sister, but ISIS is showing that they have three, and i was wondering if anyone knew where this one came from! thanks

when i went in 2006 i saw a breeding pair and a brother and sister,( i also have that years guide book edition, i can scan the tiger page if you want?)
 
The third tiger is most probably either the mother or father, so i presume one of the former breeding pair has died?
 
The Breeding pair were Vanda and Boris i think and there were pretty middle aged when i last saw them so it wouldnt suprise me if they both died somewhere between 2006-2008 they werent there May last year.

I will look too im visting over Easter too :) Mikeal and Anastasia where their last cubs but they had one other sibling who either died or got sent to another zoo for breeding programmes etc. Its a huge really good enclosure which would be perfect for a breeding pair maybe a swap with a smaller zoo with a breeding pair could be a good idea? its brilliant for the two to live out their days as its a superb enclosure :)

I can tell you a bit about the lions from a talk in January 09, They have 7 altogether. Spike is dominant male (8yrs) Mashaka-lila, dominant female and mother of cubs (9yrs) Kachanga, other female (9yrs). Cubs born in 2006 are Kia, Kato, Tato, and Max (1 female and 3 males.
 
Thanks Catinthehat the 3 Original Pride members Spike,Mashaka-Lila and Kachanga all came from West Mids in 2005
 
They only have 2 Amur Tigers, who are brother and sister. One of the parents died and the male cub killed the other, not sure which was which though. He's been snipped, so I assume they'll just retire the brother and sister until they die.
