Angry Herd of Elephants Chase Away Tourists

I'm assuming you need to be signed into this site to view it? The link took me to a search page.

Very dangerous behaviour. Looks like a very poor guide letting elephants get that close. He should have kept in a position where he could drive away forward not reverse. It looked like he wanted the elephants chase him.

The thing I was trying to figure out was the fake elephant trunk on the side of the car. All the elephants went to that side of the car and the front elephants tried to reach out with their trunks and touch it. I wonder if they were mainly trying to figure out whose trunk that is?

I found the video on another site (still couldn't get it through the link on here). It looks like Yala National Park in Sri Lanka.

@JBZvolunteer: the thing on the truck isn't a fake elephant trunk, it's a snorkel (so the vehicle can drive through deep water). Google "truck snorkel". It didn't look to me like any of the elephants were showing any particular interest in it, they were just grumpy. If it is Yala the animals there - especially the elphants and leopards - get harrassed a lot by the many many vehicles; it is the most popular park in Sri Lanka, featured prominently in all the guide books etc and hence it is the one that all the tourists go to.
