I’ll take a stab at it. Pelusios adansonii?
I'm think its Pelusios as well.
Pelosius sinautus Doesn't seem likely, but I'll give it a shot.
Is this species commonly kept in captivity?
No and no.I’ll take a stab at it. Pelusios adansonii?
No and no.Phrynops geoffroanus?
Hilaire's toadheaded doesn't feel quite right.
No and no.Is it Phrynops or Pelusios
I promise I won't stab anymore!
No.Is it a Podocnemis?
You can only post your own photos to iNaturalist, so DON'T DO THIS!!! It is not in the suborder Pleurodira. To narrow it down a bit, (since I am very curious to see what species this is without using things like Inaturalist because that would be considered cheating I believe), Is it at least in the suborder Pleurodira. Several of my guesses so far have looked very similar to this, so I'm genuinely interested all around.
Wrong on both genus and species.Looks like a Batagur species to me. I'll go with Southern River Terrapin (B. affinis).
No no no, I wasn't planning to post anything!!!!!, I know that's banned. You can press "Upload", however, and see what the Inaturalist scanner for your observation that you have loaded into the cue, and then see what the computer says. However these are horribley inaccurate. You can only post your own photos to iNaturalist, so DON'T DO THIS!!! It is not in the suborder Pleurodira.
Wrong on both genus and species.
Since this one is apparently super hard, I'll give two hints:
1. This species is in a monotypic genus
2. It has the name of a country within its common name
Yes! That is the species. Then I'll go with what my second guess was, since it meets these criteria and looks similar to the species I guessed first: Orlitia borneensis, often known as Malaysian Giant Turtle.
Yes! That is the species.
Yes, you post a photo now.I was between it and a Batagur species before and then forgot to follow up when I turned out to be wrongbut the hints helped confirm it for me.
So how does this game work? Does this mean I post a photo next?
