Animal Import/Export Laws

A lot of importing/exporting in Europe is currently under scrutiny because of foot-and-mouth disease, ...... It has also led to a lot of European bans on both live animal import/exports and animal product trade.

Thankfuly, this FMD outbreak could be stamped out, last infected animals were culled in April. Large-scale sampling of both captive and wild (hunted) hoofstock and raw products like milk still continues today in Slovakia, Hungary, Czechia, Poland etc., but nothing new popped out in 3 months so it´s over.

But it was indeed big scare and led to many international trade bans. And because authorities want to be rather overcautions than lax, it might take few months more before some countries lift their bans.
