I have just been given a great collection of old magazines some in binders and some lose but they are very old and have some very interesting articles.
There are some advertisements for the following zoos London, Flamingo Park and Woburn Abbey and Zoo Park thus the last one appears to be just Deers and no other animals.
Pictures and articles are wonderful the condition of the magazines are extremely good for the age.
I have just noticed that one of the Advisory Editors is Gerald Durrell it maybe a little bit thick of me but does this name ring a bell.
There are some great photographs of his collection of animals at his Jersey zoo(I would scan and upload them but copyright prohibits me from doing so)

Just wondering if anyone else has this collection of magazines

Animal magazine

I think the magazine you have is what started as 'Animals' edited by Armand Denis, which eventually morphed into trhe 'BBC Wildlife' that is still with us. I've got an attic full of them.

Yes they are the ones, didn't know that they morphed into the BBC Wildlife magazine though.
I love the old type of images in magazines like this and find it facsinating how they did things in them days.
