Animal wrangling is not the career of the future

Interesting read. CGI animals never look real, let's be honest, and I doubt they ever can. I think there will be a small (very niche) demand for live animals, unless rights extremists succeed in banning live animals from films. In this case, I would predict that movies that need live animals will start being filmed outside the United States. The rights extremists will then succeed in eliminating two viable industries from this country, not just the one they are aiming at.
 
Just to show how timely this topic is, here is a new article about tiger trainers for the film industry. However, the crux of the article is not about their livelihood diminishing, it is about neighbors not wanting them to move into a compound in Malibu. Seems they have everything in order and I honestly think the neighbors are completely overreacting. Of course the article claims they are "white Siberia tigers" - oh brother!
