Animals in non zoo related games

Assassin's Creed: Origins features many animals including those extirpated from Egypt since the time the game is set which is a detail I quite like, though the game is not without its flaws in animal usage.

Mammals:
- Domestic cat
- Domestic cattle
- Domestic dog
- Domestic donkey
- Domestic goat
- Domestic horse
- Dromedary camel
- Hippopotamus
- "Impala" (better resembles Cuvier's gazelle)
- Leopard (unfortunately uses Cougar sounds)
- Lion
- North African elephant
- Nubian ibex
- "Rat" (could be African grass rats but more likely -Brown or Black rats)
- Spotted hyena

Birds:
- African sacred ibis
- Bonelli's eagle
- Domestic chicken
- Greater flamingo
- Heron (I think Ardea cinerea)
- Vulture (I think either Gyps rueppelli or Gyps fulvus)

Reptiles:
- Cobra (can't identify what species, could be Naja haje or Naja nubiae but is too big in-game)
- Nile crocodile (there should also be West African crocodiles as they were kept in temples in Ancient Egypt, but in AC:O, the Nile croc is reskinned)

Fish:
- (There are fish in the game but I cannot identify them unfortunately)

Inverts:
- Scorpion (should be Deathstalker as they are the only scorpion species native to Egypt, but the game uses a black colour for its scorpions instead)
- Starfish (I can't identify which species sadly)



I was also going to do a rundown of Far Cry Primal's animals but the sheer amount of inaccuracies made me very annoyed so I didn't
 
I love games that actually take the time to put real animals in and make them feel like part of the world, even if they mess up the details here and there. Assassin's Creed: Origins definitely had a lot of fun creatures running around, and I remember being really surprised at how common cats were in the cities. Sometimes the animal behavior was a bit off, but it's still wild seeing how many species they tried to include. It’s actually pretty cool seeing animal-based games from different cultures too. I recently stumbled upon modern sabong games and how they’ve been brought online. Endling: Extinction is Forever is a game where you play as the last red fox on earth in a dystopian world. The forest you live in is burned down in a fire and one of your four children is kidnapped by a human. Your goal is to find and rescue your stolen cub while looking after your other 3 cubs and meeting a European badger mother who is initially an antagonist but becomes a close friend if you choose to help her.

Gibbon: Beyond the Trees is a short game where you play as a gibbon with a mate and child and swing through the trees of a South East Asian rainforest, eventually getting closer to human settlements.
