animals out of context..

PAT lol remember the dinosoars were all genetically altered, its just a massive zoo- money comes first and maybe some white t-rex's ;) will be a good attraction

actually the third one made note that the raptors had the facny feathers, the flying ones had teeth etc. INGEN just wanted to make money after they gave hammond the flick cause he was to much trouble lol.

ok thts enough i was obssesed with jp for years, and have them all on dvd and watched about 20 hrs of deleted and making of footage!

I CARNT WAIT TILL JP4 comes out- should be soon scrpit is being written now. they ahd 1, but they tore it up and started again

JP 3 was a travesty. i don't think i'll be interested in another unless crichton co-writes the screenplay and speilberg directs.

interesting you say that chlidonias - i noticed the pelican as looking like an american species too (i would have said a white pelican) when i first saw the shorts and promo stuff for this film. after seeing the film i concluded that it was an australian pelican, however, the character was given pink flesh around the eyes (like a white pelican) rather than the regular yellow of our australian species. it always bugged me too, but from memory, the feather patterning etc, is true to an australian pelican (from memory)...

nope he's definitely a brown pelican. Check out images of him on Google and compare to brown pelican. The giveaways include his brown plumage....

hmmmm.... colours don't concern me so much in animation as does the patterning. but your right, nigel the pelican has neither. though i wouldn't necessarily call him a brown pelican (or any other existing species) he certainly isn't designed with any attempt to appear as if he is an australian pelican. the most prominant issue is that like the brown or dalmatian pelican, he has a darker coloured chest (in this case chocolate brown), but his wings are somewhat similar in pattern (with a line of white feathers) to an australian pelican and his overall colours seem to represent no species at all. he is no australian pelican, i'll give you that, but he is no other extant species of pelican either!!!!

I think when people see the beak they will know what type of bird it is.
