ZSL Whipsnade Zoo Animals that are off-show at Whipsnade

Hello, the list at Zootierliste and the stock list of the ZSL website shows many animals at Whipsnade I do not recall ever seeing, such as emus, a vulture, royal pythons and rheas. Perhaps I have seen them and forgotten (it has been at least a year since I’ve been to Whipsnade, even though it is one of my favourites) but it would be greatly appreciated if someone could provide a list of which animals are off-show and which are not.

I remember seeing an emu at Whipsnade last year, I'd imagine it is still there now.
Vultures I believe are indeed kept BTS except for flight demonstrations.
The python has been discussed elsewhere on-site, perhaps kept in the education centre.
Not sure about the rheas ...

The rheas were on show round the back of the farm paddocks, by the road opposite the old bird garden, when I was last there.

The Emu are housed in a grassy paddock near to the elephants, only visible via the Jumbo Express train ride.

As mentioned upthread, the vultures are off-display except during presentations. The same can be said for most of the zoo's bird of prey collection. Said offshow aviaries are also home to the likes of pheasants and turacos.

I cannot comment on the Royal Python and indeed, as has already been mentioned, rheas are near the farmyard. :)
