Animals that could have a captive population

Does anyone have any suggestions for an animal that could have a captive population (for conservation purposes and reintroduction into areas where they no longer exist)

Do you mean species which have no captive population when they should? If so, Hunter's hartebeest (also known as hirola) come to mind.
