Animals Through the Night: Sleepover at the Zoo

I watched this last night, it was really fascinating and interesting! Don't be put off by the whole sleepover title, its a serious program and the presenter seemed really into it too. Seeing the giant pacific octopus on camera was a highlight for me.

The only thing was although there were cameras all over the place she kept creeping out to see if certain animals had gone to sleep yet Lions/tapirs.flamingos and even with infra red cameras her smell and talks to camera disturbed the animals. I'd rather have seen the pictures than the presenter wandering around. But as you say JamesB at least she was interested in her subject and full of enthusiasm.
I wondered too if the meerkats had been subjected to animal noises instead of wind and A MK alarm call how they would have responded. It is common sense if you play their own alarm call they will stir. If i hear a dog barking at night i may turn over but If I hear some one shouting for help I'd get up to check it out.
