Animals You Want To See

I've seen the Walrus (in a pool the size of a bath, if I remember correctly, at Cologne) - but I'm with you on the Argus...!
If that was when you and I went to Cologne in the 80s (pretty sure I remember seeing Tasmanian Devil?), I must have seen it as well? Really don't remember though.....
Some of the stuff I'd like to see is probably extinct -- Crested Shelduck, Pink-headed Duck..... And in the realm of REALLY extinct, what about Cnemiornis? Cereopsis on steroids!

Yuuup...! Indeed it was. One juvenile with just enough room to turn around in the water, I recall - and not very memorable. Did they have Saiga Antelope too?
I remember Devils outside the Riviera Hall at Blijdorp on the same trip (and others) but not Cologne - but, quite a bit has happened since...!

Maybe I need to see another one then.....
I don't remember Saiga, but I do remember Moose @ Cologne....at least I think I do. I was convinced those Devils were Cologne, but you're probably right!

I saw saigas at Cologne Zoo on 3 visits, although they were rather hidden away on a path near the lemur house. I also saw saigas in East Berlin in 1984.

Kiwi. My "nemesis animal" in captivity. I have been to zoos that held them, but I have never seen them.
Ethiopian mountain viper
Dhole
Greater bamboo lemur
Lac Alaotra lemur
Raggiana bird-of-paradise
Superb bird-of-paradise
Kagu
Adjutant stork
Narrow-striped mongoose
Choughs
Duck-billed platypus, especially now that the Escondido park holds them
Long-beaked echidna

Mountain Nyala
Northern White Rhinoceros
Hirola
Saiga
Saola
Beira
Giant Sable
Dibatag
Himalayan Serow
Lowland Bongo

Great list @tschandler71- I just did a trip to Ethiopia and Djibouti and knocked off Dibatag and Beira. I'd previously seen Mountain Nyala, Northern White Rhino, Hirola and Saiga but none of those other specific subspecies you chose- some hard to get ones in there!
