Any zoo you like! If you can think of any animals you can and would like to see being kept at a UK zoo, share you're thoughts here!

I'll start off with my top three regulars...

Marwell:
Gorilla - They'll be getting these anyway, likely a batchelor group to start.
African Elephant - Would certainly put an end to a favourite subject of Marwell's education department! I imagine a cow paddock taking up a bit of the valley on the right side and a bull section in the current prezwalski's paddock.
Nile Hippo
Lion
Sun Bear - These would look great in the woods opposite Macaque Island.
Patagonian Sea Lion
Indian Rhino - One of the masterplan maps shows a lake taking up a lot of space in the rhino paddock. It'd be a waste with whites, yet the paddock is still earmarked as rhinos, so there's a possibility this could happen
Brindled Wildebeest - Be great in the Valley.
Eland - Again, look good in the valley.
Tree Kangaroo
Cassowary
Mandrill
Pallas Cat
Binturong
Siberian Lynx
Siberian Musk Deer
Spider Monkey
Maned Wolf
African Hunting Dog - Best utilising the space occupied by the former jaguar enclosure and a bit of the green stretch above it.
Gelada
Hamadryas Baboon
Pere David's Deer

New Forest Otter, Owl and Wildlife Park:
British Freshwater Fish
Mole
Hazel Dormouse
Pipistrelle Bat
British Reptiles
European Beaver
Chinese Water Deer
Water Vole
Giant Otter
Capercaillie
Heck Horse
European Wolf

Longleat Safari Park:
African Elephant
Brindled Wildebeest
Banteng
Nilgai
Brown Bear

Why not? He's only ten, but that doesn't mean he can't share his views, even if they are a bit over-enthusiastic.

After seeing them at the RSCC, I'd love Sun Bears to come to Paignton, or any other zoo for that matter. Wonderful, active, playful animals - a joy to watch.

Apart from the fact that three of the animals I'd most love to see are extinct (quagga, bluebuck, dodo), living wise, i would love to go back to Colchester one day and see their:

Rajang
wolves
African Wild Dogs
aardvark
rhinos
Amur Leopard
Mountain Goats

And species they haven't got, that i would love to see (Chester, Monkey World, Paignton and HWP here I come!):

Przewalski horses
Asian elephants
Golden Cheeked gibbons
Woolly Monkeys
Sumatran Tiger
Tapir

And two species not kept in a UK Zoo that I'm aware of:

Heck horses
Heck cattle

There are probably more animals, but those ones just spring to mind :p

Slimbridge are planning to include 'aurochs' in their new exhibit of the ancient animals of the Severn valley. I don't know if these will be Heck 'reconstructions', which are very iimpressive animals, or whether they will use white park cattle or a similarly ancient breed.

its the holidays, i dont have anything to do:p

I don't really think there's the space at Marwell for that many new species :S With the valley, yes they could put all of them in together, BUT what about the housing? They can't all go in the same place. I know the Giraffes are supposed to be joining the 3 species already out in the African Valley... but I'm still not sure on the space. If they did, the new animals would either have to do with little space or the older animals enclosures would be made smaller. Also, I don't think Marwell own the forest that goes by Macaque Island. Elephants need a LOT of space unless they were to put them into the African Valley :S

How do you know Marwell are getting Gorilla's? Would be nice to see them, but again, space is an issue :S

cacomistles etc.

Would like to see Cacomistles in British Zoos,. remember seeing one at Dublin Zoo many years ago.Capercailles in a large woodland enclosure/aviary,Tayras,Racoon Dogs and Olingo[ don't think any of these are in a uk zoo at present.

raccon dogs are at the new yorkshire wildlife park

Marwell's longterm plan is to keep gorillas in the current chapman's zebra paddock, starting with a bachelor group.

The housing near the leopards is planned to be utilised as valley stock stabling, so there's space there. The woods is currently a sitatunga paddock, so it's definately owned.
