It's the only wild UK reptile species I've never seen.I suspect rather a lot of Zoochatters in Europe have seen this one - the ones based on the continent at least, and probably a fair few of the UK ones.

Did you see any in the wild? The western species is very common and pretty accustomed to human envoirment activity. Is it the same case with the siberian?
I think quite a few Zoochatters have seen Aardwolves at one point or another, but my local zoo just got in a breeding pair. My local zoo isn’t even associated with the AZA, so how would they acquire them?
I was not aware of this… why don’t more US zoos have aardwolves, then? (Dubiousness aside)Private hands.

Currently Aardwolves are on a slowly increasing trend in NA - and other than the elderly one at Cincy they are all in rather questionable places. There is a fair likelihood that we will continue to see more keep popping up outside of the AZA.
BTW…. my local zoo is ZooWorld, it has improved much since the photos in the gallery were taken.
Although I’m sure a number of zoochatters would have seen them when they were at Bristol.
I just went yesterday, so yes I can upload pictures from my updated trip later today or tomorrowTo proof the improve () can you upload more recent photos of ZooWorld them - would be intresting.
