Animals You've Seen That Few Zoochatters Have Seen

I saw the Pacific screech owl (Megascops cooperi) in the Nicaraguan National Zoo.
This species was not yet on ZTL, so this zoo might be the only one to display this species worldwife. If that's true, not many zoochatters will have seen this species because as far as I know, I'm the first zoochatter to visit this collection.
Perhaps some people have seen this species in the wild?

How manny of you have seen a masked lapwing
If you are Australian you have seen Millions but if you are american or european it might be rare to you

I've seen masked lapwing at multiple zoos. It's rather common in major zoos being in over 30 across the country). I've seen them at Disney's Animal Kingdom but I haven't gone to any major zoos unlike most American zoochatters

I saw something in the lapwing family a few days ago it was flying overhead so it was tough to make out a clear pattern

I would not consider masked lapwings rare at all. I've seen them dozens of times (including wild ones in Australia)

If you're Australian, I'm sure you've seen much rarer species than this one.

Of the 10 lapwing species (Vanellus sp.) I've seen, masked lapwings are definitely the most common in captivity. The only species I've seen in the wild but not in captivity is the Red-wattled lapwing (Vanellus indicus), but given its wide range im sure many zoochatters who have visited many regions in Asia will have also seen one

Walsrode kept red-wattled lapwing,s where I saw them a few years ago. I've also seen them in the wild in Sri Lanka and Thailand where they are common.
I've seen 12 species of Vanellus, 5 of them in the wild (Northern, masked, red-wattled, yellow-wattled and southern)
