With Angalifu's passing, only 5 northern white rhinos are left on the planet, including Nola, our elderly female. It's a tragedy because it brings us one step closer to the inevitable and imminent extinction of this taxon; a taxon which so easily could have been saved but for bureaucracy and human greed.

In any case, closing this thread as we already have a thread on this topic.
