Anteater of Death

I listened to the audio book a couple of years ago over a few weeks in the summer. It was vaguely entertaining as you get a sense of what the imaginary zoo setting is like. It's hardly the height of literary fiction though, more like 'Murder She Wrote' in book form.

The follow up, 'The Koala of Death' is terrible, so bad it's funny and the audio book is worth it for the hillariously bad Australian accents by the reader who does all the voices.
