The Ostriches from Antwerp have been moved to Planckendael. The empty enclosure will be part of the new planned savanne-area.

On Feb. 2 a Takin was born but the young refused to drink. Also bottle-feeding didn't work and the young has put asleep

For the new to open Reef-aquarium a large shipment of soft-coral has arrived. Next week a large load of fishes is expected. Till April - when the aquarium will become public - no less then 4000 ( ! ) fish will call this aquarium their home.
4 Rüppels vultures arrived at Antwerpen. They will share their aviary with some birds which will arrive also soon :

Which aviary will they be housed in? I can't seem to remember anything big enough to keep that many large birds.
The will be housed in the 'Swamp-aviary" next to the Hippo-house.
