Hello! I am a new member to the forum and a student at Davidson-Davie Community College in Thomasville, North Carolina, USA. I attended one year at a four-year university studying environmental biology but when I found out about DDCC's zoo science program, I made the immediate switch. Unfortunately, my admission was so last-minute that I missed all the zoo classes! I've got a very light semester getting my gen-ed requirements out of the way, but that doesn't mean I'm falling behind on my passion for zoology!
I am very excited to attend this college and to begin my internships at the NC Zoo and Greensboro Science Center (my favorite!) during the next few semesters. I felt like this course was designed just for me as a fast-track to becoming a zookeeper, my dream job. Are there any DDCC attendees or graduates on this forum? I would love to hear from you about your experience at the school and how it prepared you to be a keeper!
