Yorkshire Wildlife Park Any updates?

Wow.Many thanks for the insight. I hope you're right as , theoretically, they're old enough to breed now or will be shortly.

Happy to help. Vlad is only two yet, he will becoming up to three in May. Apparently tigers reach sexual maturity at three to four years old. If a new male (Not saying this will happen) arrived and was introduced to Sayan there could be a good chance if they hit it of she would become pregnant.

So over 3 or 4 weeks we've been told variously -

hope they'll breed soon (after we'd been told Sayan had just had a implant),
too young to breed,
too genetically 'lowly' too breed
too related to breed!
:)

All of which are true!

So the true answer is probably a mix of them all!

The year, everything the first year got A names, second year B names...

They did have a Dave last year - the ankole bullock

First look at Leopard Heights today and it's absolutely fantastic. One of the best enclosures i've seen anywhere, well done YWP on another great job. Can't wait for the giraffes now, the view over their enclosure is going to be brilliant.

Has anyone got any pics from leopard heights yet I'm waiting for the weather to improve a bit before I go for another visit

The 'Leopard heights' exhibit looks fantastic. A very rare sight in zoo's now to have 'open' topped enclosures - well done YWP.
