Any Zoos forsale

Your post is a bit puzzling, can you please elaborate?

I know that in the past years some zoos in the Netherlands changed ownership, some were bought by a leisure consortium and one by a multi-millionair (Ouwehand Rhenen - not for a profit since he's has only been investing, they try to get to a break-even point, but he gets his kicks out of having board meetings next to the zebra's).

If you really want to help small zoos were it's really needed, you should look for zoos in Africa, Asia or South-America. That's where you can teach people almost in situ on wildlife conservation. But I don't think they are looking for new owners, just financial help.

zoos for sale

Sorry ,a bit loose with my wording .I have spent the better half of 30 years building zoos and training staff as well patrons about wild life preservation as well breeding and wild life rescue .Most of this has been South East Asia ,as well Pacific Islands .The word to own the zoo maybe corrected ,we are keen to partner with locals to educate as well betterment of habitats and working conditions .
We are not driven by the glory nor the $$$ just simple happy life as its meant to be .Our exp has taught us a great deal ,just to share .
Hope this makes more sense .
We can all learn so much from each other still and make good friends along the way .

I think there's a small zoo here in Portugal that would definitely need to be bought, but I'm afraid it passed behind the salvation point... I did some free work for them training some of the animals and tried to helped them out with their educational programs, but the people running it seemed to have lost their interest.

It started with a promising future, as a reptile park but it really came down these last few years... It would be good to see it back on it's feet again. Maybe if I win the lottery! ;)

I know of some UN soldiers (and other UN personnel) who are helping to get the Bujumbura zoo (Burundi) cleaned and patching up (in off duty hours). They aren't looking for buyers but need additional support. The UN donated hardware (wiring, locks, etc.) and services (trucks, etc.), Blijdorp zoo donated some money as well as local companies.

You will not be able to make money out of it, but they probably could do with some expertise advise (via e-mail?). Please let me know if you want contact details - I don't have it but I can try to get.

Hi Tony, I'll see what I can find out and I'll let you know... I wish I had the chance to grab that zoo, and make it work again.
I was happy to help them with training, which is my field of expertise, and designing enclosures, but unfortunately they dropped the ball, and from what I've heard the place is in bad shape.
I got a job for a good friend of mine, a great trainer and she had to leave, cause they failed to pay her for a couple months...

I really appreciate what you're doing for zoos and their animals. I know I can't give much, but if you ever need help regarding training or something like that just let me know...
I'll get back to you as soon as I know something more.

Miguel
