In a newspaper article I found a short note on a Turkish zoo/naturepark called Metropolitan and it should be near Izmir.
They recieved 45 animals from 2 Israeli zoos ( Biblical zoo Jerusalem and Ramat Gan ). The animals :
3 Meerkats
3 Monkeys ( no species mentioned )
6 Flying foxes
6 Nyalas
3 Zebras
x other antilope-species
Has anybody more information about this collection ?

I assume this zoo is probably synonymous with the Bursa Zoo, an EAZA participant.

Other Turkish zoos:
Istanbul - Faruk Yalcin
Ankara - National
Gaziantep.

Chlidonias is right. The zoo in Izmir - Dogal Yasam Parki is a rather new establishment. It is a very modern facility and has a welcome emphasis on native species, natural enclosure theming and animal welfare. It really is one of the best zoos in Turkey. It is an EAZA accredited zoo.

The facility I mentioned earlier - Bursa Zoo or better known as Bursa Hayvanat Bahcesi (hayvanat means wildlife) - is way 350km north-east from Izmir. This is also an EAZA accredited facility. Sorry, for leading you astray there!

The third zoo on EAZA membership is Faruk Yalcin Zoo in Darica (near Istanbul).

Turkey has come along way recently in developing its zoo network.
Cannot say much in regards to Ankara nor Gaziantep Zoo yet.

The 3 monkeys you mentioned were one of the marmoset species (will check which species Ramat-Gan Safari maintain). Another species imported from this facility was 4 coatis.

The Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem delivered 20 sacred ibis.

All this adds up to 45 animals. Thus, no other antelope species was acquired besides the group of nyala.

Thanks for this information. I had my info from a German newspaper, were it was called Naturepark Metropolitan. Thanks Kifaru Bwana for searching the exact species they got !

raccoons I think, rather than coatis? I know Ramat Gan has raccoons at any rate.

In October 2012 they acquired a female giraffe from South Africa as companionship for their male of 21 years Efe. It seems he is not a giraffa subspecies, AND she is. Here we go again!

Just rechecked: they did import additional antelope from Safari Ramat Gan.
Must look into which species (probably eland, impala, waterbuck). So, in effect it may have been a little more than just the 25 (I personally think the 45 figure may be a translation error, that is if they talk of just several antelope) from Ramat-Gan Safari and 20 (birds) from Jerusalem Biblical Zoo.
