Currently a big fan of Day6 as well as Cravity, my bias is Wonpil and Hyeongjun respectively. My favorite song from them are Zombie and Party Rock.

If any of you guys listen to Kpop, what artist is your favorite and what song do you listen to?

Side note: Still really love the fact that Brandywine Zoo's Pudu is named Haechan, they should do more with that.

Sometimes, by and large I prefer the female groups. But I don't speak any Korean, so often times I tend to gravitate more towards Chinese singers as I can understand a little Mandarin.

I wouldn't say I listen to KPOP, but there are a few KPOP songs that I like, so. I can't remember the names right now other than Dynamite by BTS. Or at least I listened to that song a bunch when it came out...

Also, Gangnam Style is technically KPOP, and I like that song well enough

Kpop is very niche scene here. Less than 1% of population ever heard any song other than Gangnam Style.

Over two decades ago, I watched j-drama and k-drama for a short while (I tried to learn those languages) so I at least know that kpop exists. I guess those few jpop and kpop groups I knew by name dont exist anymore. Unfortunately their music was not my cup of tea, it never made its way into my music playlists.

It probably depends on location, yeah. In the US in my experience it is associated with generally kind of annoying people but the music itself is fine in my opinion.

Haechan died last June. He got his name from fans paying to name him.

I live in Indonesia which has a very vocal fanbase of many Kpop groups. Not surprising to see it thrive here.

Yeah I heard that, RIP to him. I do say, using a very vocal fanbase to help donate to the zoo is a pretty clever marketing from the zoo. It brings attention towards relatively unknown animal into popularity, help for conservation values, and brings popularity for the zoo themselves.
