An Aquarium in Jacksonville is now in the works. The group is still fundraising but they are looking to place the aquarium next to the St. Johns River by Everbanks Stadium, either by Metropolitan Park or the Shipyards. Since this project is also supported by the Jacksonville Zoo, there might be boat rides that will connect the Zoo and the Aquarium, though it will be one long ride.

New Downtown Jacksonville Aquarium Plans

Not sure if this has been mentioned anywhere already, but an aquarium is being planned for downtown Jacksonville. It mentions the possibility of trying out a billfish exhibit - sounds pretty cool to me!

Sounds interesting. Looks like they're planning a billfish exhibit, that would be neat.
