Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and less than a year after the aquarium faced permanent closure, the facility is due to reopen on September 24th! The 'ZoOceanarium Group' will be the new management team behind the aquarium and there will be more details in the coming weeks.

On July 26th, the aquarium announced they acquired a (0.1) giant Pacific octopus which is now on exhibit. She was later named Athena.
