Over the last few years, the Ararat Ridge Zoo has had several new exhibits open. Animals in those exhibits include -

+ Ring-Tailed Lemur
+ Hoffman’s Two-Toed Sloth
+ African Crested Porcupine
+ Palawan Binturong
+ African Spurred Tortoise
+ Common Ostrich
+ African Crowned Crane
+ Aoudad Sheep

And they are also planning a 13-acre savanna. Though it’s not guaranteed, species that they told me that would be a part of the new exhibit include -

+ Giraffe
+ Zebra
+ Rhino
+ Ostrich
+ Antelope
+ Small Exhibits for African Birds & Small Mammals

They are currently prepping the land for this new exhibit.

You got any proof for that?

Yes, they posted a video, I think it was called Alex Kendrick & Ken Ham at the Ararat Ridge Zoo. Just google it, it’s a YouTube video. They mentioned it somewhere about halfway through the video around the 15 minute mark and Ken Ham the owner talked about a 13 acre exhibit with giraffes and rhinos. The extra details I got from emailing the Ark Encounter.

You mean the one sentence and a gesture before they move on completely? That's literally it. I cannot find any other references to this supposed exhibit, all their recent exhibit updates on social media that I saw are non-live exhibits.

Yeah, I am surprised they haven’t mentioned it more. But that’s also why I said it’s not guaranteed, because in the email they responded with, they said it could be years before they would even begin construction, and that’s even if they move forward with the project.

I just found another reference, again just a short mention. On the Ark Encounter’s YouTube page there’s a video from 6 months ago titled What’s Coming to the Ark in 2022. Go to the 8’50 second mark and he makes a small mention of it again.

According to Ken Ham in that video he said it really depends on when they have the available funds.

Yeah, I wish they would’ve talked about it more, but it’s still really early in the planning phases, so they couldn’t share too much. And because it’s not guaranteed, they definitely can’t share too much.

If they "definitely can't share too much" since "it's not guaranteed", then why did you post it to a public internet forum where anybody and their dog can read it?

This sounds a lot more like facility hopes than news. There's no official statement whatsoever. You've also not linked any resources, telling us where and to go find it ourselves. Coming off the heels of the disaster of the previous iteration of this thread, I don't think this one is faring any better and still has no actual news. This appears to more be you liking this facility and defending it rather than a proper news thread.

I did put some news with my post, I announced some of exhibits that Ararat Ridge Zoo has opened up over the last couple years. I was posting the possibility of a savanna exhibit because I thought people might want to know. And the owner has mentioned it on a YouTube video about upcoming projects to the Ark Encounter. That video was the second one I put the name of up above.

News in a very broad sense - no dates or information other than the species and within the last few years. Most of which are pretty easy to find out via their website and social media. Also you're not announcing but reporting them.

That exhibit is such a hypothetical it's really not worth mentioning until there's more than just "yeah we're planning this" - stuff changes all the time. Building plans constantly fall through and change at the stage they're in.

Barely. Passing references of what someone wants to do aren't the most solid piece of evidence.

Also you can edit posts.

One of the projects being worked on, the children zoo has partially opened. Much of the area isn’t yet open but the entrance building with an exhibit for KuneKune pigs has just opened. According to pictures I’ve seen from the plans (which aren’t shown on this page) there are also going to be new exhibits for the rest of their farm animals as well as an aviary for bird species which hasn’t yet been announced, which should open up shortly.
