Are there any recent exciting additions to UK collections?

I’m very out of the loop on UK zoo news but I’m hoping to visit a Collection or two this weekend.

Are there any exciting additions to any UK zoos (I’m mostly interested in Mammalian or Avian additions but will consider reptiles) in the last year or so?

I’m sorry I don’t have time to read all of the threads for various UK collections to find something but I know the ever knowledgeable members here will be able to point me in the right direction if there is anything.

I’m aware of the Shoebill at Exmoor and have seen that!

Thanks in advance

Here are some semi-recent and planned changes/additions that I'm aware of in the last year or so
West Midland Safari Park
  • New foot-accessible tiger enclosure
  • New path leading to the elephant enclosures and front portions of the safari
  • New bull elephant slated to move in with Five over the summer
  • New foot-accessible lion enclosure (slated to open later this year)

Paradise Wildlife Park
  • New enclosures for sun bears, otters, binturongs and jaguars
  • Return of the snow leopards after a period of absence for redevelopment

Longleat
  • New koala joey born last year, out of the pouch since Christmas time so likely still very tiny and adorable

Sorry I couldn't provide too much, but this is what I know of from visits to these facilities over the last 6 months. Hope you enjoyed your visits, and maybe these points have encouraged you to look into visiting one of these?

Thank you Mac. Does anyone have anything else? There are so many collections and so many long threads for the last year or two it’s safer to ask members here as I’ll likely miss something. I’ve been to Hammerton, Marwell and Exmmor recently which I enjoyed to varying degrees

Only new species I can think of is the return of Eastern Quoll to Linton.

Whipsnade have received anoa and Babirusa in the last 6 months or so and Sulawesi macaques and Francois Langur (at last) are due to go on show later in the year
