Are These in Captivity?

Are there any Yule island tree frogs (Litoria congenita) in captivity? Weren't listed on ZTL or ZIS, and no mention of it on zoochat.

And any Uluguru black caecilians? Such an interesting species from front to back.

Silvery Gibbons?

With all due respect, this is - again - a question that could have been answered with a very brief Google search of "silvery gibbon zoo" or by a simple search in the ZooChat search bar of "silvery gibbon". If you were asking how many or which places keep silvery gibbon that is a different question, but not one that you phrased and not one that this thread is meant to answer for people.

Here is a thread on the topic if you are interested in further knowledge: Gibbons in Zoos

Are there any species of jacanas in U.S zoos? They are really cool birds and I would love to see one.

Remembered this was around, should still be accurate I believe.

Wattled Jacana (2 holders)

Dallas World Aquarium
Shedd Aquarium

African Jacana (7-8 holders)

Cleveland? (listed as Wattled, but photo is African)
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Houston
National Aviary
Omaha
Pinola Conservancy
San Diego
Sylvan Heights Bird Park

Any Nurseryfish (Kurtus gulliveri) other than the ones at Tokyo Sea Life Park? I know TSLP was the first to keep them successfully but which other aquariums tried but failed?

Any Triops (genus Triops) at public zoos/aquariums? I know they are kept privately (I've kept some myself), and they would make a fascinating aquarium display, especially given they don't need much space and are easy to keep. They would have to be bred behind the scenes to keep replenishing the tank, they have a very short lifespan, only 1-3 months.

I would think so, given how widely they're available. I don't know of any facilities offhand.

Sorocco Doves?
Um... the species is listed as "Extinct in the Wild". Which should be an indication they are kept in captivity...
Yes but where

The title of this thread is "Are These in Captivity", so if you're going to ask for information more specific than "Is _ in captivity?", you're gonna have to be specific about what you're asking - otherwise people are going to assume you haven't bothered to check anything ;)

I’ll search animals on google next time:)
29 European holdings according to ZTL

In addition to Google (btw - Rio Grande Zoo in Albuquerque pops up as the first result if you make that search - they hold 1/3 of the world's population), there are several threads on ZooChat detailing what species are held where in the US. You have to go to the second page to see where someone mentioned them on the Pigeons and Doves thread, but it's there if you use Search function: Pigeons and Sandgrouse in North American Zoos

Here is also the site you can use to search for holding facilities in Europe. As with the ZooChat lists, there are errors and outdated listings, but for general searches it is still helpful and adequate for curiosity's sake: ZootierlisteHomepage

The Australian greenhouse at National Aquarium in Baltimore (USA) has a Triops tank. I haven't been since 2012, so I don't know if it's still there, though.
