2 Griffon vultures hatched at Artis have been released into the wild on Sardinia .

I noticed during a recent visit that the Gray mouse lemurs (Microcebus murinus) have left the small mammal house and possibly also the zoo. Their enclosure will soon house Four-toed hedgehogs (Atelerix albiventris).

Recently the meerkats moved from the small mammal house to the Scimitar-horned oryx (Oryx dammah) enclosure at the front of the zoo. I am not sure whether this combination has been done in a zoo before, but sofar it seems to work.
