I would say the lesser mouse deer occupy more exclosures then you give them credit for. They tend to be delicate and slightly ... hum territorial and with 6 individuals you cannot put them up in just the 2.
According to that map they are in 3, they might live in 4 enclosures though.

1 lesser mouse deer lives in the sloth enclosure, 1 with the goeldi tamarins, 3 in the first emperor tamarin (including the young) and 1 in the second emperor tamarin enclosure (next to the otter enclosure).

The second emperor tamarin enclosure actually only 3 houses pygmy marmosets next to the before mentioned kantjil.

I forgot to mention that the green iguana (Iguana iguana) that used to live in the Forest House now lives in the butterfly house (vlindertuin).

So what’s going to happen to the forest house? Will there be a new exhibition there? If the corona fiasco ever stops (which I doubt) will its former residents ever return?

Good question! I was wondering the same thing, that's why I asked a zookeeper about it. They currently don't have any plans for it due to corona. They eventually want to add animals to the Forest House again, maybe the same and/or other species but it's very uncertain. However corona did give them the chance to have a look at all the animals in the Forest House. This does happen but now they can capture all the animals and determine how many are left.

Dwarf mongoose is gone? I didn't knew that yet... I last visited Artis in January, but since then a horrible number of species have left the zoo.

That seems more correct to me.

The Forest House has been emptied due to connection CoVid and primates and too close proximity to general public. Hence, all primates will or have been removed and te House is currently closed indefinitely.

They have been gone for a while now, the last two were sent to a different zoos according to a zookeeper while I thought they had passed away.

I went to Artis yesterday and quite a few things had changed since my last visit (saturday).

-The signage at all the buildings were being changed, the new signs explicitly stated that the use of face masks is advised but not mandatory .
-The Lemur island, home to red ruffed lemurs is open to the public again! I was actually surprised that it was open again and that I didn't need to wear a face mask. Especially because I have seen zookeepers wear face masks when feeding the ring-tailed lemurs. So I am wondering whether lemurs can get corona (from humans)? I would suspect they do, if so the reopening of the lemur island isn't a wise decision.
-The enclosure of the bearded dragons has undergone a ''renovation'', new plants and climbing structures have been added. However I haven't seen any bearded dragons since this has happend.
-I noticed that the Alpine marmot (Marmota marmota) enclosure is empty, the information sign was gone and the holes in the enclosure were filled up with dirt. According to zootierliste Artis is no-longer a holder of this species.
-I also noticed that the information sign at the black-tailed prairie dog was gone (facing the aviaries) while the sign at the side of the jaguar enclosure was still there. However I didn't see any prairie dogs, does anyone know whether Artis still has them? Zootierliste does mention Artis as being a holder of this species.
-While walking in the Japanese garden (between the penguins and aviaries), I spotted a makeshift aviary for the black-crowned night herons. You could barely call it an aviary it was more like a large holding pen for these birds, which they could leave (the door was open). I saw atleast I bird in the aviary and one at the Buddha. I am not sure for how long this enclosure has been there, but there was a information sign for this species. Does anyone know more about this?

-Maybe unnecessary info but the pressed penny machine located at the butterfly house is back in action. This machine is now located at the top of the stairs when you leave the underwater viewing area of the sea lions. For so far I know, this is the only pressed penny machine that can be used now.

They are such a nice species and Artis is one of the few places I ever got a decent view of them but it always felt a slightly randomly placed and rather old fashioned enclosure for them. It seemed quite messy too and I think it would be better used as an aviary.

Another species gone... At least I saw it in January. It was the first time (a no-show for years), but now it's appears to be the final time as well.

I actually find it a bit creepy!
For goodness me, it is a kid's toy! It has been rather very effective for transmitting knowledge and getting kids awed about our Planet. You might like to see some of the videos made in which he and friends surface. The last one is him with a friend going to the Planet Sok.
