Asian Elephants

This is a general query for anyone who may know the answer; can bull elephants be housed together, or must they always be kept separately?

While I realise that it's probably wiser to house them individually, does anyone know of a case where they have been accommodated together without too many problems?

well it does depend on the age of each bull. And if one if significantly dominant over the other one and the less dominant one doesn't have any problem with that. I saw a documentery that two bulls that were born in the same herd, stayed with each even though the two were of the strongest and tougest bulls in the region. So perhaps they could be kept together if they have been brought up with each other?
