Asian Lions in Europe - Part Two

Are there any zoos that have TWO breeding female asian lions? The only one I can think of is the Rotterdam zoo, with Shantee and her daughter Bente.

Are there any zoos that have at least TWO breeding female asian lions? The only one I can think of is the Rotterdam zoo, with Shantee and her daughter Bente.
 
Edinburgh, Dudley, Jeruselum (if they got rid of the infertile male!), Lodz, and a few others that I can't think of just yet.

Jerusalem's females are none breeding (All but Indi are past breeding age pretty much), as is one of the Lodz females, and you'd probably say no more cubs for Edinburgh.

I would add Zurich to that (although Aipani isn't with the male), and until recently, Besancon.Tallinn have both Tori and Xylitol.
 
A great idea to publish the database on the internet. If only I had more time and the skills to build up an internet page I would be making one of other animals but I don't have enough spare time to make it and hold it up to date. But thanks for this great idea.
 
Do we have any Lion news? I'm expecting a few lions to be on the move in the near-ish future, like the Boissiere cubs, Sari from Le Pal, and Aipani at Zurich

okay, so now I have zurich, tallinn, and edinburgh to go with rotterdam. The reason I asked is because I know that, in the wild, asian prides are smaller than african, typically 2 females and 1 male, and I wanted to see if any zoos reflect that.

I saw a picture of a male lion at Berlin Tierpark. Who is he? Is he an asiatic lion? how old is he? I tried to find information, but found nothing.:confused:

I saw a photo of a male from one year ago, but don't know who he is

Have they aquired a male?
 
Berlin's male, Chambal, died last year. No females at dvur or budapest as the females are not fully mature. Valentine died 2007 and was replaced by infertile oles in 2010. Kalu is also infertile. Xylitol is listed on isis but we don't hear much about her.

No, I am referring to those at Le Pal and Tallinn as well.

Lion News Update:
- The names of the lion cubs at Magdeburg have been announced as Bhanu and Kamal. Lion cubs at Zurich/Planckendael will have there names revealed next week.
- Magdeburg male Parys will father litters with three females this year if all runs smoothly. He has fathered the two cubs at Magdeburg this year already. He will be a sperm donor for Yamuna at Koln and has moved to Prague to father Aeisha's cubs. I do not yet know what has become of Pentagon, Prague's previous male.

Churchilla and Chakeera are 4 years old, so they are fully matured and should have a male soon.
Yenna and Yanna are almost fully matured, so a male might arrive soon.
That leaves me with 4:
Tallin (I don't think Xlyitol is her real name, I think she might go by something else)
Zurich (Though Aipani isn't with the pride anymore:() need her picture:confused:
