Rotterdam Zoo Asiatic Lion birth

On 9th September, an asiatic lion cub was born to Kumar, and one of the resident lionesses at Rotterdam Zoo

Kumar was born at Edinburgh Zoo in 2006 and arrived at Rotterdam in 2008. Not bad for a 3 year old!

Update November 25th 2009: The lion cub is a girl and named Naui (='nine' in Hindi, referring to her birth date 09-09-09). She has already received her first vaccination.
