Attachment and media gallery upload restrictions

I know this is an old thread but i'm a new member, how long to I have to be on here before I can upload media?

He does, as (to a somewhat broader degree) do I - but for obvious reasons the precise duration and post-count is not publicised to prevent people from spamming meaningless posts purely to meet the requirements.
 
Hey Simon I hope I’m not bothering you but it says I am a member now and not a new one so how much longer will I have to wait or what do I still have to do to be able to post media know?
 
I haven’t been active on the forum since October 2014, but I’m back now with some great zoo photos. It seems like I can’t upload them due to my inactivity. Do I need to participate more before I regain upload access, and how active do I need to be?

You will need to be more active, yes - but it isn't a case of losing your upload access due to having been absent per se, but rather a case that your existing postcount is lower than a minimum level which the owner of the site set for users to acquire the ability to upload media.

We don't publicise the precise postcount at which a user obtains the ability to upload photographs to prevent people spamming meaningless comments - just participate on the forum for awhile (perhaps post about some of the zoological collections you have visited in the last decade!) and the ability will be restored to you before *too* long :)
