Australia Zoo Australia zoo

ok just looking through isis and it list them as having a pair of binturong i wasnt aware that they had this species if any body got any info it would be appreceated, thanks in advance.

I have very little faith in wikipedia but just thought I would mention this.

[ame=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cairns_Wildlife_Safari_Reserve]Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]

I found it interesting that Cairns Wildlife Safari Reserve sent 8 lions to Australia zoo in exchange for the two bengal tigers. Is anyone able to confirm this or is it bs?

The binturong are from Melbourne Zoo.

Two male Bengal Tigers have been sent to CWSR but Australia Zoo are yet to recieve the lions.

:)

The 2 male bengals have taken up residence at cwsr. At this stage there is nothing in place for any lions to go to Australia Zoo. Australia Zoo does not have lions and as far as I know no plans for the near future to acquire them?

Sorry Jay, you are right obviously it is a lot easier to put incorrect info on than get incorrect info off. Have resubmitted changes again and hope that the brains behind wikipedia may actually work out that perhaps I may have some idea of what goes on at CWSR

Werribee are currently attempting to breed their female. I confirmed with a keeper today that Australia Zoo is the most likely destination for any male cubs.

Are these guys from Taronga and it would be cool if they could get an unrelated one to breed with.

they are offspring born from melbourne's pair.

Wow...I completely forgot Melbourne had bintourongs. When I read the article I was trying to remember all the Australian Zoos that had them and must've skipped over Melbourne.

P.S. I really wish that Malbourne Zoo would make a good exhibit out of their binties...All of those species in the small cat alley seem a bit of a waste.
