Hey guys, this is inspired by a similar thread on the New Zealand board. Let's see if we can't pull together a complete list of zoos, aquaria and native wildlife parks in Australia. I will by no means claim to have a complete listing of attractions, but I will kick it off here by listing the ARAZPA institutions as time and energy allow. We'll seek to include the following information:
- Name of zoo, aquarium or native wildlife park.
- Location
- Website
- Opening hours and prices where possible
- Eventually, we might aim to list the species kept at each facility.

I'll probably do eight separate posts for the eight states and territories, which will follow after this one.

Surprised you missed out on Taronga, WPZ, Melbourne, Werribee and Monarto.
 
Not missing them at all. I just wanted to get each of the state/territory posts up before there were any replies, and did one in each while I was at it. I'm now adding details for the rest of the zoos a couple at a time, starting with ARAZPA facilities in NSW.

If you want to round off your wildlife experiences while visiting the Bundaberg/Fraser Coast Region, obviously there is the whale watching from July to October and the Turtle Rookery at Bundaberg between November and February.
 
I'm not sure how I missed this thread before now! Great idea (of course ;)). How complete do you think it is as of right now?

EDIT: I'm sure there's some missing from Kuranda (the bird place, the venom zoo and maybe another one), and Hartley's Crocodile Farm (if I've got the name right?) and the place in Alice Springs
