Aviary Park Indonesia news

A new exhibit has opened. It's a train ride which allows visitors to view several new animals, such as owls, turtles and even binturongs.
The train ride has actually been there for a few months now, it was already present in late September and I remembered seeing a post about it beforehand.

The ride is laughably short as it's made for children, and lasts less than 5 minutes for a single circuit. It's also not too hard to walk beside the rails if you're wanting to take photos of the animals, though best to do it when the train isn't operating

The species housed aren't anything to write home about: Otus lempiji, Cuora amboinensis and Ketupa sumatranus, though the Binturong is new.

There are also some pleurodiran turtles, possibly Pelomedusa or snake-necked turtles

It's some Elseya sp.

Ahhh.. New Guinea snapping turtles. I've been thinking of donating my pet Pink-bellied sideneck turtle Nigel there, whom I had since 2017. It barely grew and I'm too busy to take care of it. I offered it to BXSea and they rejected, but I offered it to Aviary Park and they told me to contact their customer service/zookeeper for donation inquiry.
