ZSL London Zoo Aye Ayes

I apologise for the Edinburgh sidetrack. The aye-ayes live in one of the Monkey House cages (plus a small extra inside cage). They have outdoor sections, and indoor ones with a second off-exhibit indoor cage above the main one which gives access to the outdoor section.
For the past couple of years the aye-ayes have lived in the western end cage (they were at the other end previously). I have a photo in the Gallery of an aye-aye in its nestbox with a keeper. The indoor quarters were darkened originally and I assumed that the outdoor access was blocked off - until the squirrel appeared.
They have done more work in the past year, restricting the viewing of the cage and darkening it further. In one of our threads, someone (was it kiang?) said that they would eventually be moving to the old ape house with the drills.
Does anyone know if the aye-ayes ever went outside?

Alan

some news on the aye-ayes in London. The enclosure was still closed and they told me it will be so till 10th or 11th of October. So still no aye-ayes for me. Maybe a trip to Jersey will be smart :)
