Hey folks! I’ve found it very cumbersome to try to get ahold of data for which zoos hold what species for the purpose of developing a life list. I decided to rectify this by developing a Wikia for all AZA accredited locations in order to have an easy search of where to find what. For now, I am focusing on getting Zoos in the system and adding their species lists and a little bit of history. After this, I’ll be looking to develop pages for individual species and collecting all locations each species can be found at. This sounds like an impossibly hard thing to accomplish, many places have hundreds of species many of which are not viewable from the public. Places like Shedd would be practically impossible to do such as task for, furthermore many places have species lists that change quite frequently especially with inverts and herps that make this quite difficult. If you were to go through with such a task however I would suggest first going through some of the species lists of zoos made here such as the ones by Coelcanth18.
