B. Bryan Preserve B. Bryan Preserve News

The preserve welcomed four black wildebeest today, making them the second public holder of this species in North America. This is the second new species for the preserve this year, following the acquisition of a male Cape buffalo from Denver over the summer.

Fourth then because of the herd at Six Flags Adventure Kingdom. Well, I’m glad to hear that there are more of them knocking about than first meets the eye, albeit it is unfortunate they are all held in such obscure places. The B Bryan Preserve is still the only facility associated with the AZA (the Preserve is an AZA certified related facility) to house the species then. A fact that I unfortunately suspect will remain to be true.
