A male siamang has been born at Adelaide Zoo. The baby was born to Irian and Suli on 5th January 2008. This brings Adelaide's group to 4 males and 2 females.

On the Adelaide Zoo web page there is information on him in 'Births, Deaths and Marriages'.

That's intriguing, glyn.
What do you mean "noise"? the noise made by the gibbons was bothering people or outside noise was bothering the gibbons?

both groups of saimangs are still their as are the white cheeked gibbons, where the zoo is there is not alot of houses around it theres the uni and parklands around it

i thought adelaide zoo had to get rid of its siamangs due to noise....glad this wasnt the case

I thought that was never the case, they were planing on moving a few of them so they could conitued breeding them but from the daughter of the original pair???
